Why Pakistan's Education System is a failure?

Pakistan is a country with more than 200 million population and almost half of the population is below the age of 18. An estimate by UNICEF shows that almost 22.8 million children aged 5-16 are out of school mostly including girls, this estimate makes Pakistan the world's second-highest number of out of school children.

In this advanced era, where girls are working in every field and showing their skills, Pakistan is a country, where girls are still not given the opportunity to explore and show their hidden talent to the world. It is a huge downfall for the past governments that they haven't been able to show any impressive progress in this regard.

Apart from this, the country's education system is outdated. The teaching method and the system of delivering lectures date back to the colonial era, since then, there haven't been any educational reforms in the country. In the modern world, where learning new skills and technical education is preferred it is becoming more difficult for our students to stand out in this highly competitive world. Our institutions have no advanced high-tech equipments to teach skills to students. Even most of our renowned educational institutes does not have a projector and computers in the classrooms.

Moreover, there is no curriculum-related policy, private schools have their own curriculum which is being taught to students. There is no defined curriculum for the institutions countrywide. Taking advantage of that,  private schools are charging their desired money for their own designed curriculum.

The world is moving forward rapidly, but our education system is still stuck in the 19th century. Our government need to realize this is a very serious matter because without quality education you cannot expect to become a successful nation. Youth are the future and we are not able to give them the strength which they require to become excellent future leaders, doctors, scientists, or businessmen.
